On May 14-16, 2016, BCCM will return to the music of George Gershwin. EMBRACEABLE YOU will focus on the songs Gershwin wrote in the 1930s before his death from a brain tumor at the tragically-young age of only 39. The catalogue he left behind can only make one long for more and imagine the magnificence of the music he would have written had he lived. Among the songs he wrote in his last years were "But Not for Me", "Bidin' My Time", "I Got Rhythm", "Of Thee I Sing", "Who Could Ask for Anything More", "You Can't Take That Away from Me", "Nice Work If You Can Get It", "Our Love is Here to Stay", and of course, "Embraceable You."
